Ron Ranson

During my stay in Wisconsin, Terry Stanley and her husband, Tom, invited me along to dinner with Ron Ranson. He had been holding a workshop at the Jack Richeson Company. Interesting fellow. We went to Tony Roma's cause he never had BBQ ribs before. He quite liked them. But he was quite puzzled over the blue martini Tom was drinking. Said it looked like disinfectant.

BTW, dont forget to vote for my son's band in the post below.

He is a very soft spoken man, yet his accent didnt get in the way. Lost an eye in WWII, wears an eye patch. Totally in love with his wife, who while in her 70's looks like a million bucks. Favorite place is the Greek islands.

If you were in Green Bay, I was at the Tony Roma's as well, twice, and I talked about getting a Cosmopoliton, which I think is blue in a martini glass! How weird is that?????

Did you see a blind woman using a white cane, thant was me!

We were there about 6 on the 5th (whatever that Friday was). Had to sit in the smoking section, so you probably sat elsewhere. Do you think you saw us? Ron is kind of distinguished looking -- big shock of white hair. No eye patch this time tho. I would think you would remember that for sure.

Yes, it is funny how people cross paths sometimes. I sometimes wonder how it is that I just moved from Green Bay and am now blogging with an ELCA pastor from the UP.

I have a long story I tell about crossing paths, but basically I believe that God is behind all encounters.

Think he ordered a surf & turf meal. Terry and I both gave him about 4-5 ribs. He ate his meal and what we shared. I guess he did like them.

We were not there because we never go on a Friday night since it is always packed....I was there Thursday night and then a week later on a Sat. afternoon.

As far as the Packers go, it is worse now that the Press Gazette has changed its format to have local news on the front page rather than national news.

It wasnt too bad when we got there, plus we sat in smoking.

I havent a clue as to what Brett Favre is up to, tho while I was back there I did catch a headline about him being "all alone" -- something about being the last of the original group or something like that. Poor Brett. :-)

At least the ribs weren't blue. That would have been REALLY puzzling. :)

Ha! You have a point there. :-)
