Just listed three more on ebay

During church service I would notice how the bulletins would vibrate as the music played. And as people would worship, their voices would pass through each bulletin.

I like the idea of sound waves continuing on forever. And the idea that walls in the church have "captured" some of the worship that has gone on there.

At the end of service, there is a little recycle bin at the door for the used bulletins. Kind of seemed a shame to just toss them when deep within the fibers of the paper a few words, a few notes may still be lingering.

These are painted on paper made from church bulletins.

Deer trend

Been wondering about the deer trend I have seen in design and art recently. Not sure where it started. But it is generally either a bambi deer or a large buck. Go figure.

From a couple of days ago. Three deer eating the crab apples in our back yard. There is an invisible fence for the dogs next door. They sure were interested. Saw 5 deer run off this morning. Dont know what set them off, but shortly there after I saw the calico kitty running their way --- wild animal that it is.

So the trend in Landenberg PA is ------- more deer.

ACEOs on ebay

Finally got them posted on ebay tonight. As you can see I made a few changes to some of them.

Really, really gone fishing.

Been messing around with the background on this one for a while. Just thought I would post. Probably will get rid of the border.

Maybe Posy Poisson instead? Still working out the bugs between the monitor and the printer.

Update: After several adjustments to the printer settings, I think I have worked out the bugs. Now to make sure I can find the paper locally!

An ACEO a day or a painting a day?

3 Bear Fish. Yet another creative title. Okay, I have to think about titles now.

As you can see, I am going with a fish theme initially. Color on the background is not coming out quite the same as on the monitor, so I will probably change the backgrounds.. -- well the fish arent quite the same colors either, but some how that doesnt seem to matter as much . Need to try different paper first.

Read a link to an article in the NY Times about artists doing a painting a day -- they are post card size. Just getting the hang of these ACEO's. Now another challenge?

First ACEO

ACEO. Art Cards, Editions & Originals. 2.5x3.5 inches.

This is the first in a series I am planning to do. It is still in the development stage. I sketched, scanned and then manipulated the image in photoshop.

Right now all I can think to call it is Dog Fish. I got the idea from a book. Dont know what the book was, just had a fish on the cover and for some reason the patterning in the fish looked like an abstract image.
